    Chateau Gloria Cru B

The 2012 is a successful effort once again from Chateau Gloria, a property that has been on a major qualitative roll for decades. Dense ruby/purple in color, it has sweet, juicy, blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, no real evidence of any oak, but a fleshy, open-knit, meaty mouthfeel. Excellent purity, low acidity and ripe tannin all characterize this beautiful wine.

    Chateau Gloria Cru B

Abundant notes of cedar wood, fruitcake, flowers, creme de cassis and kirsch are all present in this full-bodied, opulent, dense, dark ruby/purple wine. It is slightly more restrained than the flamboyant 2009, but equal in quality. This is a juicy, well-proportioned, sensationally concentrated, super-ripe Gloria.

    Chateau Gloria Cru B

A dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by an expressive, flamboyant bouquet of black fruits, Christmas spices, licorice and roasted Provencal herbs. Nice density of very ripe and vibrant dark berries with hint of violets and of nice length. The fruit is soft initially, but builds with a great density of fruit and tannis, though it will need time for the tannins to soften and fruit to surface.

Its deep opaque purple color is accompanied by notes of roasted herbs, charcoal, graphite, and extravagant creme de cassis and licorice. Full-bodied, powerful, deep, and rich with outstanding balance, purity, texture, and length, this stunning 2006 will be very long-lived.

    Clos du Marquis

A very good effort in 2013, was cropped at 31 hectoliters per hectare. It reveals good ripeness for this vintage along with tasty, elegant, black cherry fruit intermixed with hints of tobacco leaf and dusty, loamy undertones, and a medium-bodied mouthfeel.
