Dense blue/purple-hued 2009 reveals a blockbuster nose of blueberry pie, black fruits, licorice, forest floor, spring flowers and a hint of mocha.
The 2003 Haut-Marbuzet is ripe, fleshy, exotic, and seductive. Dark ruby/plum-colored with sweet black cherry fruit, dried herbs, and plenty of toasty oak, this wine has good ripeness and purity.
It was somewhat monolithic and superficial, but charming and well-endowed.
