The Durup family has been cultivating wine since 1560. Passed down from father to son, Jean-Paul Durup, a critically acclaimed winemaker, took over the vineyards of the Château de Maligny from his father in 1968. As a result of his boundless energy, the domain comprises from 2 ha to 170 ha today!
Jean Durup is the proprietor of the largest domain in Burgundy and also the top producer of Chablis in France today. Located in the very heart of the Chablis appellation, the Durup Family vineyards contain a high concentration of steep, well-exposed hillsides of rocky soil, its premium terroir guarantees the exceptional quality of the wine.
