L’Arack de Musar (20 cl)

The Chateau Musar Arack is made from grape alcohol with an average age of five years. Traditionally, arack is distilled twice, then anis seeds are added in the third distillation. L’arack de Musar is unique in that it is distilled four times with the addition of anis seeds during the 4th distillation. After distillation, it is aged for one year in terracotta amphora’s which contribute to its liquorice aroma.

L’Arack de Musar Cocktails

Adelaide – Cocktail

INGREDIENTS
1 oz. Chateau Musar arak, 0.5 oz. Dolin Dry, 0.25 oz. Elderflower Syrup, (you can use St. Germain), 0.75 oz. lime juice, 0.5 oz. strawberry syrup
Shake with ice and strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass. Top with club soda. Garnish with lime twist.

Arak & Grapefruit Juice

INGREDIENTS
4 ounces grapefruit juice, 2 ounces Chateau Musar arak, Seltzer, to taste, Grapefruit slice, Basil sprigs
Fill a highball glass with ice, and add the grapefruit juice and arak, and top with seltzer. Garnish with a thick grapefruit twist and a few sprigs of basil.

Sazarak – Adapted From FR.OG

INGREDIENTS
0.25 oz. Chateau Musar arak, 1.5 oz. rye whiskey, 1 oz. Kummel liqueur, 4 dashes Peychaud’s bitters, 2 dashes Regan’s orange bitters, Lemon twist
Add the arak to an ice-filled rocks glass. Allow it to sit, to chill the glass. In the  eantime, add the remaining liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Stir well. Stir or swirl the contents of the chilled glass, to coat its interior with the arak, then discard the ice.
Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the glass and garnish with the lemon.
