Domaine Alexis de Benoist

Originally from the Champagne region, Alexis de Benoist proudly set up as an artisan winemaker in 2010 at his family estate, to revive a wine growing tradition that had been interrupted for a century, and reconnect with his heritage. The grapes are 100% hand-harvested and the traditional vinification and ageing techniques give great expression to the grape varieties and terroir, producing expressive, balanced and delicate wines. The estate has been certified organic since the 2022 vintage.

Alexis de Benoist now manages a total area of 9.5 hectares of 30 to 80 years old vines spread over two wine regions: Mâconnais and Beaujolais. The estate’s wine appellations include Mâcon-Villages, Mâcon-Cruzille, Coteaux-Bourguignons and Beaujolais-Villages.
